ABOUT VOLOS

Volos offers software and services to professional investors to enhance portfolio performance. Their software allows investors to rapidly design strategies that utilize advanced optimization and machine learning methods.

My Role

As the sole designer, I assumed responsibility for conducting the necessary research to create industry-specific and aesthetically pleasing designs for all components of this project. I maintained direct and constant contact with the CEO throughout the entire process in order to ensure both the business goals and client needs were met.

LANDING PAGE AND CALL TO ACTION RECOMMENDATIONS

  • The Landing page must show cardinal information/ features we offer to clients

  • By using calls to action and complimentary visuals, the user automatically focuses on the desired and crucial elements of the page

  • The rest of the page should be ordered in a hierarchy of information and features we deem most important

  • It should be simple, easy to digest, and appealing.  Use of imagery and icons, as well as calls to action are essential

INFORMATION DISPLAY AND ICON USE RECOMMENDATIONS

  • The information you are relaying to your customer should be extremely easy to digest and simple  

  • Use of icons and images should only aid the information, not overwhelm or confuse the user

  • Excessive writing is overwhelming and hard to absorb

  • Cluttered images in a small area are distracting and overwhelming

What Others Have that Volos is Missing

  • Blogs can give you an easy way to show your market knowledge and value (6/10 companies have one)

  • Company values, mission, vision, culture, etc… Why you do it!

  • Videos.  Only two companies are using videos; however, they can be very useful if done well

  • Career page. Even if you are not actively hiring, you can continue to grow and connect with potentially interested candidates.  (8/10 companies)

  • Social media presence. Free marketing and advertising, although difficult to keep up

  • Press, awards, testimonials… show that you are accomplished and proven

  • Chat-bot, help, etc… show them you are there for them right away
